Veilwood Boggle

Veilwood Boggle

Small fey, chaotic evil

Small, twisted saboteurs that slip through cracks, crawl beneath defenses, and dismantle anything the elves depend upon. They destroy supplies, gates, roads, tools, siege equipment, and defenses rather than seeking honorable combat. Where Boggles pass, something is always broken.

Fey Ancestry. The Boggle has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put it to sleep.

Spider Climb. The Boggle can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Unnatural Escape. The Boggle can squeeze through a space as narrow as 4 inches wide without squeezing penalties.

Elf-Hater. The Boggle has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide from elves.

Saboteur. The Boggle has advantage on ability checks made to break, disable, damage, or sabotage an object, structure, mechanism, or piece of equipment.

Actions

Jagged Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.

Filthy Shiv. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage. If the target is concentrating on a spell, it has disadvantage on the resulting Constitution saving throw.

Bonus Action: Boggle Oil. The Boggle secretes a foul, sticky substance onto a surface or object within 5 feet. Choose one: Slippery: A creature attempting to move across the affected surface must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. Sticky: A creature attempting to move through the affected area has its speed reduced by 10 feet. Sabotaged: A small object, weapon, tool, or mechanism becomes unreliable. The next creature attempting to use it must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity check or the object fails to function. The effect lasts for 1 minute or until the Boggle uses this ability again.

Reactions

Riftstep. When the Boggle is targeted by an attack while within 5 feet of a solid surface, it can magically slip through a tiny gap, crack, hole, or other opening in that surface. The Boggle moves up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space on the other side of the surface, if such a space exists. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
