Briarback Rider
Read-only review

Briarback Rider
The Briarback Riders are Redcaps who have learned to fight from the backs of the great boars of the Veilwood. Unlike ordinary Redcaps, they favor mobility and momentum over simply hacking their way through an enemy. They ride low behind the Briarback's shoulders, using long Bloodhooks to strike at enemies as the beast tears through a formation.
Fey Ancestry. The redcap has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put it to sleep.
Outsize Strength. The redcap counts as one size larger when determining its carrying capacity and the weight it can push, drag, or lift.
Blood Frenzy. The redcap has advantage on melee attack rolls against creatures that are below half their hit-point maximum.
Elf-Hater. The redcap has advantage on melee attack rolls against elves that are below half their hit-point maximum.
Mounted Predator. When mounted on a Briarback, the Rider has advantage on saving throws made to avoid being knocked off its mount.
Actions
Bloodhook. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage. If the target is Large or smaller, the redcap can attempt to hook it. The target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be pulled 5 feet toward the redcap.
Bloodhook — Mounted Charge. If the Briarback moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature before the Rider hits it with a Bloodhook attack, the attack deals an additional 1d6 slashing damage. If the Briarback's Briar Charge also hits the same creature, the Rider has advantage on the Bloodhook attack.
Bonus Action: Redcap's Rush. While mounted, the Rider commands the Briarback to move up to half its speed. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks from a creature the Rider has damaged this turn.
